Neuroinclusive Education Network (NEN) Partnership
Stone Hill School is proud to be the strategic partner of the Neuroinclusive Education Network for Doncaster. The NEN’s ‘Inclusive Practice Development Programme’ is delivered across the UK and is the only CPD-accredited autism training programme that has been co-produced with parents, professionals and the NEN panel of autistic young experts. As their partner, we deliver bespoke autism awareness training to schools, post 16 settings and businesses across the Doncaster local authority. Our training will develop your understanding of autism and provide evidence-based strategies for support within your setting. Included in the training are:
Videos
Presentations
Case studies
Practical materials
Discussion points
Activities
Auditing tools
Our delivery is tailored to suit the needs of each setting, supported by comprehensive resources and materials for practical application within the setting. We are also flexible in terms of mode of delivery of the courses, and are happy to discuss this with you.
The courses we offer include:
Making Sense of Autism – a raising awareness module for anyone working in schools and post 16 settings. It has been successfully delivered to teaching staff, support staff, administrative staff, governors and transport staff.
Good Autism Practice – a module for those working directly with autistic children in schools, providing guidance on processes and tools that can help to implement good autism practice across the setting.
Transition to Employment – a bespoke module for Post 16 settings that has been delivered to staff in education settings as well as employers and businesses. This focuses on supporting autistic young people into gaining employment and on their retention once employed.
In addition to the above schools accessing our training will have access to the NEN Progression Framework, with the accompanying training.
All of the above can be adapted to suit individual settings and enhanced with modules that include:
Understanding Anxious Non-Attendance
Eating Differences
Sleep Differences
Leading Inclusive Practice
