WELCOME TO STONE HILL SCHOOL

“I have witnessed personally many examples of how pupils grow in confidence and how they care about and support each other.”

“I have been a governor at this school since it first opened in September 2008 and am extremely proud to be associated with it.”

When the school was first established, the overriding priority was always to provide a safe and calm learning environment which catered for a wide variety of needs, preparing every individual to become as independent as possible and lead a happy and healthy life.

This objective has been achieved through the excellent facilities, and the skilled and caring members of staff. I have witnessed personally many examples of how pupils grow in confidence and how they care about and support each other.

At Stone Hill School pupils are welcomed into the building every morning and escorted out in the evening by staff in a friendly and cheerful manner. They are helped to progress to the best of their ability academically, but also have many other opportunities available including various lunchtime clubs, the Duke of Edinburgh Award scheme, residential visits, the Forest School, the climbing wall, a fully equipped exercise gym, the school allotment and sports leadership awards.

Progress and behaviour are monitored and suitable interventions are put in place as soon as there is an indication that these are required.

We are always looking at ways to improve the school and welcome the views of parents and carers. If you wish to contact me you can do so simply by leaving your details with the school office.
